Tacking Point, Port Macquarie AUSTRALIA

Lewin’s Honeyeaters (Meliphaga lewinii) visit a bare branch that is also a favoured perch for their larger cousins, Little Wattlebirds (Anthochaera chrysoptera).

It’s a composite image. Two honeyeaters visited the branch. Shooting in burst mode, I captured several frames as the birds arrived. This image combines the best poses to make a new picture that is the summary of a flurry of activity.
