Storm down south

Tacking Point, Port Macquarie: Nighttime experiments at The Backwash.

"Powerful & high contrast, but with all the tones - beautifully handled image/conversion on top of a well planned and captured image.

The detail in the rocks and lighthouse provides the static placement to be identifiable while the storm and waves are transitory and show, like the star trails the passing of time and the changes in the environment.

The time is truly relevant. As a photographer, I see the time in the static objects, time of slow moving objects like stars and the faster moving objects like waves together with the capture of fast moving lightning - a class act - one that should be examined by students for years to come

Thank you for sharing this - apart from the Photo and the Graphic statements, I see far more in the time, experience, understanding of light and nature being evident in the image. Your dedication is only surpassed by your ability to visualize beyond the banal, and give nature enough time to create this image for you.
