A brown thornbill (Acanthiza pusilla) leaps from twig to twig, caught by high-speed sequential shooting.
The bird was caught against a bland grey sky background, making it an easy matter to excise it from the main image (using Photoshop) and superimpose it on a composite background comprised of vegetation photographed at Port Macquarie and also on Cape York Peninsula.
Some bird photographers will take a dim view of such manipulation. My desire is to create art from bird photography that expresses my admiration and impressions of their behaviour.
