It’s my hope that one day it will be placed on a wall in our town (perhaps in a gallery or hotel) for visitors to enjoy.
It’s my interpretation of the Mid North Coast environment. Components include: local sea and bush birds; Tacking Point lighthouse; the view west from Jolly Nose hill behind Bonny Hills; the Macleay Valley; a human couple walking on the beach; a humpback whale breaching.
The whale (a cow with a calf) came even closer to the rocks than depicted here, during her southward migration in October 2009.
