Tacking Point NSWAt 3:15AM on 16 November 2011, I was jolted from sleep by a crack of lightning and rolling thunder, but no sound of rain on the roof. My chance! A dry electrical storm.

Grabbed my gear, drove to the lighthouse and set my tripod and composition. Click. A test exposure. Mmm, looks about right for the sky.

Now, I’ll just paint with torchlight and...click...and...20 seconds later...Fantastic! Three strikes on the second frame. Thank you, God! I’ve waited a long time for something like this.
